Acrylic and resin abstract artwork 'Outback Mining'

This piece is an Original abstract artwork inspired by stories of gold and opal mining in outback Australia . 

The dark black colours represent the dangerous side of mining which contrasts beautifully against the natural red/orange colours representing the hostile Australia outback. Gold represent the precious gold which is found in in the dirt and the rough blue/green section represents both the roughness of the raw opal found in rock as well as the polished opal once it’s been polished for sale. 

This artwork is created using a combination of textured paste and acrylic paint. The opal layer is made using multiple layers of resin to showcase the rough and smooth nature of opal with it brilliant reflective finish. 

This artwork is a very textured piece and will showcase different looks depending on the lighting of the room it is place in. It will look darker in a darker space but the resin opal will pop under good light. 
It is made on a quality heavy duty canvas.
